Sagar Mohite

Full frontal coverage in 8 months

Concern:

Receding hairline and thining crown

Solution:

FUE Hair Transplant(3500 grafts)

Mr. Sagar Mohite | 32 years old, Male | Police Officer

Concern

Sagar visited Dermatrix after dealing with a receding hairline that had worsened over the last few years. He initially noticed thinning around the temples, which gradually affected the frontal region, making the hairline appear uneven and aged. Despite using various oils and hair tonics, there was no significant improvement. As a police officer, his appearance played a vital role in his confidence, both on duty and socially. The persistent hair loss made him feel self-conscious, especially as an unmarried young man. He was determined to restore his hairline and regain lost confidence.

History

The patient reported a family history of male pattern baldness and had been noticing hairline recession since his late 20s. He had tried topical solutions and over-the-counter remedies without satisfactory results. No significant past medical illnesses or medications. Physically fit and healthy, suitable for a surgical hair restoration procedure.

Diagnosis

Androgenetic Alopecia – Norwood Grade III–IV
Good quality and density of donor hair in the occipital region
No contraindications to surgery

Treatment Plan

Procedure Selected: Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE)
Grafts Planned & Taken: 3,500 grafts
Focus Area: Reconstruction of the frontal hairline with natural design and moderate density
Surgical Duration: Completed over 2 consecutive days
Pre-Op Preparation: Scalp assessment, blood tests, and customized hairline design as per facial aesthetics and patient’s expectations

Procedure

The FUE hair transplant was conducted under local anesthesia:
Day 1: 1,800 grafts were extracted and placed to recreate the natural frontal hairline
Day 2: 1,700 grafts placed in the adjacent mid-frontal area for added density and blending
Total of 3,500 grafts extracted from the donor zone at the back of the scalp using micro-punches (no visible scarring)
The implantation was done following the natural angle and direction of existing hair for seamless results
Postoperative Instructions: Provided in detail with medication, care protocol, and follow-up appointments

Outcome

By the 3rd month, Sagar began to notice early signs of new hair growth along with a reduction in daily shedding. At 6 months, the frontal hairline showed strong coverage, with improved density and texture across the mid-scalp region. By 12 months, over 90% of the implanted grafts had matured, giving him a natural and youthful appearance. The new hairline blended perfectly with existing hair, with no visible signs of surgery. Most importantly, Sagar reported a major increase in self-confidence and felt more assured in both his professional role and personal interactions.

Feedback

This procedure was a turning point for me. Being in the police force, confidence matters a lot. After the transplant, I not only looked better but felt more confident and motivated in my job. The care, the result — everything exceeded my expectations.
